Just curious from all the people who have both games. Which in your honest opinion is better? Basically stack it up to which is better when they first came out. Which had the better awwww factor. It will help me decide if I want to get the game

Run and gun is really fun, but the fast paced squad action is awesome when you get a group who plays together. NOTHING can beat the destruction you cause and the total annihilation of buildings and land as you battle over flags or M-Comm stations. NOTHING. Whether defending or attacking M-Comm, taking flags in Conquest, or the hunter type feelings you get with Squad Deathmatch. This game is 100% AWESOME.

Hi Sneaky. During the last week or so, I've only played BF2 when I couldn't connect online in BC2. This says a lot coming from me considering I've tried the COD series (including MW2), BF 2142, and have always (fairly quickly) gone back to BF2.
There is no "prone" in BC2 so don't hit the "z" key unless you're sleepy I've gotten used to this quicker than I thought I would and the PKM is fairly accurate while crouching. EA says they did not implement "prone" because they wanted to make the game more fast paced and to discourage camping. Whereas the game is more fast paced, camping is unfortunately live and well in BC2 probably because the maps have hundreds of good places to hide.

BFBC2 is probably a better game. The ranking system/unlocks are more fleshed out than those in BF2. The gameplay is similar, but faster. (The lack of a commander is still something I'm getting used too.) ?The squad interaction and points achieved from squad play are great.
BUT I said it's probably a better game for a variety of reasons that may sound like nitpicking or whining, but are still valid nonetheless. EA has a various server problems, resulting in people not being able to play the game. The server browser, much like BF2 is crap. Half the servers don't list a ping. A third of the servers will tell you they are full when you attempt to enter them even though the server browser says there 32/27 players in the server. On rush maps especially, there are more snipers than you can shake a stick at. The friends tab works about half time I attempt to use it. Punkbuster is still a pain in the ass. There are random crashes to desktop. The new implementation of the UAV while fun, doesn't help the team in the same the fashion the UAV helped the team in BF2. As best as I can tell there is no auto balance so on random servers, teams can get very lopsided.
So when you can get past all of those little annoyances, BFBC2 is a lot of fun. And I think most of us were ready for something to take BF2's place. Whenever DICE/EA get their shit in together BFBC2 will be without question the game of choice.
I hope if nothing else that gives you a good idea of what you will be paying for. Oh yeah the single player is a joke, but I don't think anyone here is interesting in playing with themselves.......well maybe some guys are. ?

BF2 was the shizzle in the last 5 years. (gameplay is still awesome and graphics still hold up against some new games)
BC2 is the shizzle right now (talk about wowfactor and being the game that MW2 is not)
BF3 will go past both of 'em by miles (in 2011 if everything turns out right)
I played the single player for sure since I could not connect on my first day I had the game.. I guess EA is quite on the ball and trying to fix what is broken. What I liked about single player is that u can unlock every gun in the campaign and try to find your best thunderstick (for me that would be AN-94 Abakan 4x scope, M60 LMG 4x scope, AKS-74U Krinkov and the SVU Snaiperskaya Short 4x scope (spot) or VSS Snaiperskaya Special 4x scope (spot)) 5 of these 6 i still have to unlock but I love the way they feel and handle.
Of course I'm still trying to get to the point where I can take a pick on the M14 and the G3, 2 all time favorites of mine and those will be unlocked for every kit in MP.

I can't wait for the M14 EBR either. Always loved the mighty 14 and every game that has it, it's been my goal to earn it. CoD MW1 it was the only thing I used once I got it, and Operation 7 (HORRIBLE free to play game, but it filled the hole for a decent FPS for a while) had one of the best weapon mod systems I've seen, the M14 there was truly amazing as a proper DMR. I loved BF2 for years, the AIX mod brought me back to it for a while, but BFBC2 grew on me right from the start in Beta. If this is just a teaser for what BF3 might have in store, I can't wait for the next true Battlefield to come out, this one is the best in the series so far for me.

Hk
1) I love playing with myself and I think the addition of single player is great. I thoroughly enjoy that also.
2) You won't be disappointed Sneaky. Go for it. I'll whistle at ya' when you're in my squad.
I wouldn't necessarily announce that to the world but, hey, that's your thing!
I like both games - I always try to remember that BC2 is NOT the sequel to BF2 and that helps me accept things like no commander and medics with LMGs. BC2 has super gameplay and the whole teamwork angle is really superb.

I agree that Bf2 from 2005 was cutting egde and this a more fast paced version, more open space than MW2, and taking some time to get used to. I like the infantry weapons alot especially when you have good scope, also when playing sniper you can keep your squad alerted with the little sensor ball you throw out, you are able to spot for teammates with the binnaculars before you call in an arty strike( just watch out for DANGER CLOSE ? )I think any body that doesnt have the game that played BF2 will be very surprised actually at how well this one was made, taking to account EA's track record with how they dealt with BF2 problems they had in the beginning,(we all remember how mad we got),and so far unless I didnt hear of any problems in the last couple of days? the only thing is the connection problems, doesnt seem like anyone uses the voip or dont like not sure which, Thats just my two cents worth, I like the game. Printer , hope to see you on the battlefield
